The wine racks are priced per layer. You can stack as many layers as you would like. This listing is for the 6 slot wide wine rack.
The racks are also designed to be stacking and can be added to over time to increase capacity. Don’t forget to add a curved top layer if you’d like to complete the look – the racks work perfectly well without a top layer.
Although the wood selection in the standard versions is designed to complement the range of boards, typically the lighter wood will form the side and the darker wood the transverse bars, there is no limit to what the wood combination could be, from entirely one wood to a complete mix of woods.
For this reason, most wine racks are made to order, as the number of wood combinations is enormous and precludes holding stock of all but the most common woods.
An additional benefit is that the range of woods for wine racks is much wider than the range for cutting boards as we can use more UK sourced woods such as sycamore or alder, which are too soft for chopping boards.
We can also use woods such as Yew, which has a wonderful range of reddish hues, but which is not suitable for food contact. Additionally, the racks can be made from wood recovered from old or broken furniture that might otherwise be burnt.
